At Doxey Nursery our children are at the centre of our curriculum and provision. We want to provide the children with the skills they will need for their next stage of learning. We want to see them develop and learn together in a safe and caring environment.

Bright Beginners—Our 2-3 year old provision

Our Bright Beginners room is welcoming and nurturing for our 2 year olds, where they can explore their interests through child-led activities, whilst been supported to be independent. They have opportunities to develop their prime areas through short, interactive Story Book Curriculum sessions and fun fine motor activities  such as dough disco.

Early Explorers- Our 3 year old provision

When the children are three, they continue their development in this environment, where they build on the prime areas and develop their understanding of the four specific areas. There are opportunities for indoor and outdoor learning for construction, mark– making, sensory exploration, story and rhyme area, role-play and small world.

Doxey Discoverers– Our 3-4 year old provision

Our Doxey Discoverers purpose built classroom with a spacious outdoor playground which they share with Reception and can up level their skills. The children take part in daily Phonics, Numeracy, Literacy and story time sessions as well as engaging in play experiences around their interest and their Story Book of the week. They use their knowledge and skills of the  prime areas to support and scaffold the specific areas of learning.
