Doxey Academy’s Parent, Teacher, and Friends Association (PTFA) is a group of parents, teachers, and members of the wider community, who support the school to further boost the overall educational experience of pupils at the school.  

The PTFA organises fundraising events, such as school fairs, cake sales, and bingo nights, to raise money for school resources, extracurricular activities, or improvements to the school environment.  

They also help build a strong sense of community by encouraging the collaboration and communication between the school and families.  

Through their efforts, our PTFA plays a vital role in creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for students and staff. 

In 2023-2024 the PTFA organised: 

• Christmas Fair 

• A visit from Father Christmas 

• Uniform Bank 

• Easter Bingo 

• Summer Fair 

The money raised from these events helped to fund: 

• The purchase of a book for every pupil in school at Christmas. 

• Subsidising the cost of extracurricular trips throughout the year.
